We enter teams in four external competitions, the Brighton and Hove District Bowling League, the Hove Bowls League, the Nicholas Soames league and the Coastal Development League.

The Brighton and Hove District Bowling League is a men only competition, for more experienced players, played on Tuesday evenings at 6pm.

The Hove Bowls League, also for more experienced players, is for mixed teams of nine. Saltdean has joined this league in Group C this season and we are looking forward to our games. Twelve clubs in the Brighton and Hove Area are participating in three groups of four.

The Nicholas Soames League is for mixed teams of three ladies and three men playing as pairs.

This competition is aimed at introducing less experienced bowlers to competitive bowls and clubs are encouraged to pick teams of mixed ability. Matches are played on Mondays from June to August starting at 6pm..

The Coastal Development League is new for 2024. It has been introduced as a competition for Ladies only, with the aim of providing a friendly environment to develop

female players. To be played in the evening, teams should comprise two  experienced and two newer players. Six coastal clubs, between Rottingdean and Seaford are participating.
